Welcome all-comers! These are the pages dedicated to the Henley Festival Trust’s brand new orchestra project. The idea here is to join in and talk. The main man on this project is the composer Colin Riley who is in the middle of writing a brand new piece of music to be played by the Henley Festival’s brand new orchestra – brand new young musicians playing brand new instruments. As far as we can tell there’s never been anything like this before so welcome to the brave new world.

To our new musicians, tell us how it is going. How you are enjoying the lessons , your new musical instrument? Tell us whether you’re finding practice fun or difficult, and then, come 16 March, start talking about the new piece you’ll be learning for the concert in July. Don’t hold back. Tell us what you thinking – and hopefully how much you’re enjoying the new adventure in music.
